Over 60% of the American population suffers from some aspect of venous disease. However,
Cardiovascular Medicine has focused on arterial related disease over the last few decades largely ignoring education and treatment opportunities in the remainder of the circulation. The VeinwoRx program is designed to reintroduce total circulation-minded practitioners to the recent advances in venous care.To help meet the need for top quality health care personnel well trained in the treatment of venous disease, VeinwoRx has become a major training ground for the new generation of physicians and there staff in adding successful vein centers to their armamentarium.
Our training programs are practically oriented – you'll see real life situations and all operations of a very busy successful private practice. By combining didactic lecture with clinical demonstration, trainees learn first hand those skills necessary to develop a successful vein practice of their own. Plenty of time is available to answer all questions by all of our competent staff and physicians.
Our trainees are often cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons but have come from around the world and represent many fields of medicine including Family Practice, Ob/Gyn, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Anesthesiology and Radiology. It is likewise our pleasure to regularly train Allied Health Professionals including Nurse Practitioners, PAs, RNs and practice administrators who wish to expand their levels of expertise, treatment and revenue opportunities. Our staff is prepared to tailor the training to meet the needs of those attending.
Our Training Programs are designed for:
- New practitioners interested in adding ultrasound guided phlebotomy to their current practice of medicine
- Current phlebotomists wishing to review and update their skills to include endovenous laser treatment.
- Physicians interested in treating venous ulcers, varicose veins, and all the ravages of refluxing venous disease.
- Professionals required to assist and operate a successful vein practice such as medical assistants, PA's, Nurses, and practice administrators.
Medical Assistants Welcome!
Medical assistants play an important role in a successful vein care practice and trainees are encouraged to bring personnel capable of helping them in all aspects.
